Online Tutoring
Now Available…Online Distance Tutoring Over the Internet
I personally provide all tutoring intervention, and I work exclusively online.
Before you make a decision on who to hire, consider What to Look for in a Potential Tutor.
As your reading & dyslexia tutor, my primary service is high-quality, live, one-on-one Orton-Gillingham based tutoring over the Internet.
Tutoring sessions are available live with a certified tutor and online. Every part of the lesson and all the files/reading and activities are done 1-on-1, with the student, during a real-time Internet session with the tutor. Students interact with the tutor, move letter tiles, mark pages and type words and sentences, just as they would for an in-person lesson.
Because I work with students online, I can reach any geographical area with available high speed Internet. Orton-Gillingham tutoring requires a significant commitment of time, the option to work from home helps ease the challenges that often accompany that commitment.
Online tutoring works best for students in grades 4 and higher, and adults. This is my personal preference. Please feel free to contact me for more information and possible referral options if online is not the best option for your situation.

Samantha has had many after school activities and it has been very convenient to tutor with Janet online. Samantha loves the comfort of home and tutoring. The lessons are taught just as if they were right next to each other. Neat! - B.F.
Due to distance we have been utilizing the online tutoring option for our daughter. It has proven to be a very useful tool for our daughter's tutoring and we have a success using this option. Without this option we would need to drive our daughter over an hour and fifteen minutes each way for tutoring, and that would have been with good weather conditions. With both parents working opposite shifts and other siblings at home this would have been difficult to say the least. I feel our daughter has progressed through the tutoring sessions comparable to if she would have been tutored in person. The online version has also helped to prevent a financial burden due to the travel alone. I am grateful that this option was available to our family and am very pleased with the ease of online tutoring and results. - H.D.
